The Maskinfabrikken REKA A/S was established in 1979 by people with more than 30 years of experience in combustion technics. REKA A/S specialises in producing boilers and fully automatic constructions, all for the exploitation of most kinds of solid fuels (bio fuels).

The company has 2600 m² new production, stock and welfare buildings with very modern production facilities; to this may be added considerable deliveries from sub-suppliers.

Today REKA produces standard bio fuel boilers and customer fitted solutions where the customer fitted boilers generally are larger plants.

The current product development has caused that today REKA is among the leading producers on the market. For the moment REKA develops e.g. co-generation plants on wood/straw gasification, smoke cleaning systems with or without condensation of smoke and experiments with Stirling motor in co-generation plants.

The Maskinfabrikken REKA A/S is an outgoing exporting company which is active on the following markets: the Baltic States – Russia – Greenland – Scandinavia – Germany – The Netherlands – Poland – Ghana – and others. Furthermore REKA produces for the Danish homemarket. These boiler plants are destributed/installed primarily by local smiths and plumbers.

REKA A/S has the AAA Diplom from 1997, 2000 and 2001 (highest creditworthy) and the Gazelle Diplom from 1998 (one of the fastest growing businesses in Denmark).

• Boilers for manual and automatic firing, suitable for most kinds of solid fuels. The boilers are characterized by long working life, high efficiency, large firebox, large and accessible doors for firing and removal of ashes. Sizes 10 kW – 6,5 MW.

• Fully automatic plants developped according to the following principles:

• Stepped grates, which are very competitive, especially suited for bio fuels, have almost no fall through, give optimum hot air heating and combustion air, low dust emission and long working life. Sizes 20 kW – 6,5 MW.

• The silo discharge, which is a large part of our specialty, as we produce silo discharge with slant screw, chain silo discharge, silo discharge with horizontal screw and many other kinds of hydraulic silo discharges in the sizes 5-14 metres. In addition we also have automatic crane systems.

• Complete heating units.

• Manuel waste refuse disposal plants with or without heat exploitation (200 – 400 kW).

• Fully automatic waste refuse disposal plants 1 MW - abt. 5 MW.

• Oxygen measuring equipment for the adjustment of the air and fuels relation in almost all boiler types.

• Storage and expansion tanks.

• Chimneys.

• Various boiler accessories.

Research and development:

REKA A/S makes and has made many different development projects within the biomass area. Among others we can mention:

• Cooperation with Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (the Technical University of Denmark) concerning straw pyrolysis. Co-generation plants on straw gasification and Stirling plants on green chips.

• With Forskningscenter Bygholm (the Research Center Bygholm) we have developped an electro filter which can cleanse the smoke for straw as well as a Venture Scrubber also for cleansing of smoke for straw/chips with condensation. Both with very fine results.

• At Vest Wood in Logstor, Denmark, we have developped an automatic chain silo discharge for fast clearing of shaving silos. The chain works as a chain saw which rotates in the silo. The target, which we wanted to reach, was to avoid the opening of the doors during the clearing because of life danger.
